Position: Respiratory Therapist – RRT
Location: Highland Park Hospital
Compensation: $33.16 – $51.40/hour, based on experience, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus
Responsibilities:
Provide respiratory therapy to patients across all ages, following physician orders and hospital policies
Assess patients to determine the most appropriate treatment methods
Document treatments, equipment maintenance, and quality activities; transcribe physician orders
Communicate treatment procedures clearly to patients and families
Monitor patient responses, especially in neonatal and pediatric cases
Educate patients and staff about respiratory care
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (required)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligible for registry (required)
Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner license within 6 months (required)
Current CPR certification (required); ACLS, NRP, and PALS within 24 months (required)
