Role Overview: A full-time Respiratory Therapist provides patient assessments, develops care plans, and communicates with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities: Performs therapeutic modalities, manages mechanical ventilators, educates patients and families, assists with airway management and invasive procedures, and monitors patient status using non-invasive tools.
Additional Duties: Supports intra-hospital transport, discharge planning, and functions as a charge person when designated. Assists with bronchoscopy procedures and invasive monitoring, and serves as a preceptor for students and new staff.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a graduate from a specialty training program, at least 2 years of related experience, and the ability to float between multiple hospital sites. Strong communication, clinical skills, and adherence to safety standards are essential.
