Role: Per Diem Respiratory Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, performing, and evaluating respiratory care treatments to meet patients’ needs.
Key Duties: Conduct thorough patient assessments, establish care plans, perform routine therapeutic modalities, manage mechanical ventilators, and provide patient and family education. Assist with intra-hospital transport, manage airway emergencies, and monitor via non-invasive devices. Support discharge planning, adhere to safety standards, and comply with regulations. Assist with invasive procedures and serve as a preceptor for students and new staff.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of a Specialty Training Program. Ability to perform and document assessments, operate respiratory equipment, and communicate effectively with care teams. Capable of handling emergent situations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
