Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing patient care, education, and support to patients and families, addressing biological, emotional, developmental, and psychosocial needs.
- Performing procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, arterial blood gas analysis, and pulmonary diagnostics.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members for care planning and ensuring quality and safe patient environments.
- Mentoring new employees, students, and peers, and participating in staff development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring accurate documentation, promoting evidence-based practices, and maintaining compliance with policies and standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
- Certifications including NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS are required upon hire.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in computer systems.
