Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care through assessment, therapy planning, and execution, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and educate patients, families, and staff, including mentoring new employees and students.
- Ensure a safe, high-quality environment by promoting accurate documentation, medication safety, evidence-based practices, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics as needed.
- Promote a team-oriented, positive work environment supporting staff and student development.
- Comply with organizational policies and standards of conduct.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
- Required certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Practitioner, BLS, and ACLS.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills, with the ability to work well with healthcare professionals and patients.
