Respiratory Therapist II (RRT)

Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments primarily in critical care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and execution, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members, verifying orders, and educating patients, families, and staff.
  • Participating in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics where applicable.
  • Promoting a safe, high-quality environment by ensuring accurate documentation, medication safety, and adherence to performance improvement initiatives.
  • Mentoring new employees, students, and peers, fostering a team-oriented, positive work environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and standards, and supporting evidence-based practices.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP.
  • 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to establish professional relationships.
