Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments primarily in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and execution, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis.
Collaborating with healthcare team members, verifying orders, and educating patients, families, and staff.
Participating in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics where applicable.
Promoting a safe, high-quality environment by ensuring accurate documentation, medication safety, and adherence to performance improvement initiatives.
Mentoring new employees, students, and peers, fostering a team-oriented, positive work environment.
Ensuring compliance with policies and standards, and supporting evidence-based practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP.
0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to establish professional relationships.
