Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and execution of treatments such as ventilator management, airway procedures, and aerosolized medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, verify orders, and ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
- Educate patients and support system, mentor new staff and students, and participate in continuous professional development.
- Promote a positive work environment, support quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
- Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostic testing where applicable.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of an associate degree in respiratory therapy; bachelor’s preferred.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, along with the ability to establish effective professional relationships.
