Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered respiratory care, including ventilator management, airway procedures, aerosolized medications, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and verify patient care orders.
- Educate patients, families, and support systems while mentoring new staff and students.
- Ensure safety and quality through accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist in invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics as needed.
- Promote a positive team environment and support continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Valid certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
