We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to provide advanced respiratory care in critical settings, primarily during night shifts.
Key responsibilities include: administering medication, managing ventilators, performing patient assessments, collaborating with healthcare teams, and educating patients and staff. The role involves independent decision-making in complex cases, especially in critical care areas, with a focus on protocol ventilator management and airway procedures.
The RT II also ensures a safe, quality environment by promoting accurate documentation, medication safety, and participation in performance improvement initiatives. Education and mentorship of new employees and students are integral parts of the role.
Qualifications: graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program, associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred), with 0-2 years of clinical experience, including critical care. Must hold active Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Skills required: strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, assessment, and computer skills. The role demands a patient-centered approach, emphasizing safety, evidence-based practice, and professional development.
