Role Overview: Under supervision, the Respiratory Therapist provides direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy, following physician orders and protocols, with attention to patient age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies or abnormalities.
- Set up and manage mechanical ventilation, perform emergency procedures, and assist with CPR and intubations.
- Monitor physiological responses to therapy and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Educate patients and families about conditions and disease management techniques.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited associate’s degree respiratory program.
- Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state.
- Ability to perform emergency procedures and monitor patient responses.
