Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care by assessing, monitoring, and adjusting respiratory treatments.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
- Educating patients and families on managing respiratory conditions and equipment use.
- Responding swiftly to respiratory emergencies in critical care settings.
- Maintaining equipment, ensuring proper calibration, and documenting treatments accurately.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Valid Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist licenses.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred additional certifications:
- NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU roles.
