Join the Respiratory Care team as a Respiratory Therapist, providing direct patient care across various hospital areas.
The role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating respiratory treatments in accordance with hospital and department standards. You will apply advanced clinical expertise, serve as a resource to others, and ensure patient safety with developmentally appropriate care while adhering to quality and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Effective communication through documentation, handoffs, and collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Educating patients, families, students, and staff on respiratory therapies and procedures, utilizing diverse teaching methods.
- Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopy support, sleep lab assistance, and more, based on established guidelines.
- Demonstrating critical care skills and supporting specialized functions like ECMO, BLS, and circulatory rehabilitation as needed.
- Continuously seeking professional development and managing multiple duties efficiently.
Qualifications include an associate degree from an accredited respiratory program, licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT), and Basic Cardiovascular Life Support certification. Preferred qualifications are a bachelor’s degree and experience in advanced clinical procedures.
