Role: Respiratory Therapist responsible for delivering comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, assessing respiratory function, and collaborating with healthcare teams to develop personalized treatment plans.
Key Duties:
- Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and aerosolized medications.
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ respiratory status, adjusting treatments as needed.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families on managing respiratory conditions and equipment use.
- Respond swiftly to respiratory emergencies in critical care settings.
- Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, document treatments, and ensure compliance with protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Valid Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist licenses.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Additional certifications such as NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. preferred for NICU roles.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
