Role Overview:
Performs respiratory therapy procedures on patients with diverse needs and abnormalities. Ensures patient safety and comfort through skilled application of respiratory techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory treatments and procedures accurately.
- Supervise related positions (if applicable).
- Maintain safety protocols, including use of protective equipment.
- Perform physical activities such as lifting, moving, and assisting with patient care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations for disabilities.
- Physical strength to lift, push, or pull loads up to 50 pounds.
- Sufficient mobility, stamina, and strength for frequent position changes and patient assistance.
- Ability to handle emergency situations and work irregular hours if needed.
- Willingness to wear protective gear and work with potentially infectious or hazardous materials.
Physical & Visual/Hearing Requirements:
- Must be able to see clearly with corrective eyewear.
- Hear clearly with assistance if necessary.
- Capable of performing physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and twisting.
- May be exposed to infectious diseases, chemicals, and other hazards.
- May handle emergency situations and work irregular hours.
