Role: Respiratory Therapist
Responsibilities: Perform respiratory procedures for patients with diverse needs and abnormalities. Supervise positions as assigned. Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapies. Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Assist with emergency situations and handle hazardous materials when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills: Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations. Physical strength to lift, push, or pull loads up to 50 pounds. Mobility, stamina, and strength for frequent position changes and patient assistance. Capable of wearing protective gear and working in potentially infectious environments. Visual and auditory acuity with corrective aids. Ability to perform activities like sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting. Experience in healthcare settings preferred.
Key Duties: Administer respiratory therapies, supervise related positions, and ensure proper documentation. Maintain safety standards, handle emergency responses, and work under irregular hours if needed. Follow infection control and safety protocols diligently.
Physical & Visual/Hearing Requirements: Must see clearly with corrective lenses and hear clearly with assistance. Capable of performing physical activities and working in conditions involving exposure to infectious agents, chemicals, and hazardous materials. Activities include sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting, with varying frequency. May require protective equipment and exposure to chemicals.
