Role Overview: Provides respiratory care to diverse patient populations, including therapeutic treatments and bedside diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Reviews and maintains respiratory care plans, performs patient evaluations, and adjusts treatments accordingly. Acts as a preceptor for students and new staff to support their learning and integration.
- Complete patient assessments and deliver appropriate respiratory therapies.
- Assist in training and mentorship of new hires and students.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care plans and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills: Must graduate from a respiratory therapy program, hold a valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, and possess a current Indiana State license. CPR certification is required, with ACLS and NRP certifications preferred or obtainable within 6 months.
Additional Requirements: Ability to be on call, lift up to 30 pounds, and adapt to various clinical settings.
