Resident Care Director Role Summary
The Resident Care Director (RCD) serves as the clinical leader responsible for overseeing health, wellness, and care coordination within a senior living community.
Key duties include leading and managing the nursing team, conducting resident assessments, and developing Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
They monitor residents’ condition changes, coordinate with physicians and clinical partners, and oversee medication management and infection control programs.
The RCD drives Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, and manages staffing, scheduling, and departmental budgets.
They partner with sales teams to evaluate move-in appropriateness and serve as a CLIA and Infection Control leader as applicable.
