Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings.
Key Duties:
- Provide patient-centered respiratory therapy, including ventilator management, airway care, and aerosolized medications.
- Perform assessments, interpret waveforms, and manage invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Educate patients, families, and support systems, ensuring understanding of treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members for comprehensive care planning.
- Mentor and precept new employees, students, and peers.
- Promote a safe, high-quality environment, adhering to policies, safety standards, and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP required upon hire.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, assessment, and computer skills, with a focus on customer service and safety.
