Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care, education, and support to patients and families.
- Perform ventilator management, airway management, and arterial blood gas sampling.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Mentor and educate new employees, students, and peers.
- Ensure safety and quality standards through accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist in invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics as needed.
- Promote a positive team environment and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
- Valid NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with healthcare professionals.
