Position Overview: This role involves providing advanced respiratory care in a neonatal ICU setting, managing ventilator protocols, and administering therapies such as high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide. Candidates should have at least two years of neonatal respiratory experience, be registered as an RRT, and hold or be eligible for licensure as an LRT. Responsibilities include patient assessments, monitoring invasive and noninvasive ventilation, performing arterial punctures, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, registered with the NBRC, licensed or eligible for licensure with the Alabama State Board, and certified in BLS (ACLS/PALS may be required). Prior experience in neonatal care is essential.
Key Duties: Administer respiratory therapies, evaluate patients, follow policies, perform blood gas sampling, and collaborate with physicians on care plans.
