We are seeking a compassionate PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our respiratory care team, primarily on the night shift.
- PRN role with night shifts from 6pm to 6:30am, requiring 3 shifts over 6 weeks.
Role Overview:
Provide direct respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation for infants and adults. Use advanced clinical skills to support procedures like mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide delivery, arterial blood gas sampling, and pulmonary testing. Serve as a resource within the patient care team, ensuring safe, developmentally appropriate care while adhering to quality standards and regulations. Participate in rapid response teams and contribute to clinical improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include effective communication, patient and team education, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, troubleshooting, and supporting special interventions such as ECMO and sleep studies. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree from an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
- Licenses and certifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT, BLS
- No prior experience required; ability to independently apply clinical expertise
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
