Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate patient care, education, and support to patients and their families.
- Perform complex procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, arterial blood gas analysis, and pulmonary diagnostics.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure patient safety through accurate documentation, medication safety, and adherence to quality standards.
- Mentor and precept new staff and students, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
- Certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Prof, BLS, and ACLS required upon hire.
- 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and databases.
