Registered Respiratory Therapist – Full Time Nights

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient respiratory care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within hospital and departmental guidelines. Applies advanced clinical expertise, ensuring patient safety through developmentally appropriate care while adhering to quality and regulatory standards. Acts as a resource to the healthcare team, demonstrating strong communication skills for documentation, handoffs, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures in line with established standards.
  • Educates patients, families, students, and staff on respiratory treatments and procedures, utilizing diverse teaching methods.
  • Maintains accountability for continuous learning, prioritizes tasks effectively, and manages time efficiently.
  • Supports advanced clinical roles such as ECMO, ventilator support, bronchoscopies, sleep labs, and cardiopulmonary rehab as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associates degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Licenses and certifications including RRT, Respiratory Care Practitioner, and Basic Cardiovascular Life Support.
  • Experience is not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong clinical, critical care, and troubleshooting skills.
