Registered Respiratory Therapist – Full-Time Nights

Role Overview:

Provide direct respiratory care to infants and adults, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within hospital guidelines. Apply advanced clinical expertise, serve as a resource to the healthcare team, and ensure patient safety with developmentally appropriate care. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide delivery, arterial blood gas sampling, and pulmonary function testing. Support critical care activities like ECMO support and bronchoscopy, and respond quickly as a member of Rapid Response Teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory treatments and procedures.
  • Maintain accountability, pursue continuous learning, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Perform procedures according to standards, using clinical judgment to troubleshoot and analyze.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in various respiratory support areas, including BLS and sleep labs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licenses and certifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT, Basic Cardiovascular Life Support.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • No prior experience required.
