Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care services, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. The role requires applying advanced clinical expertise, troubleshooting, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively within the healthcare team, documenting and participating in patient handoffs.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory treatments and procedures, utilizing diverse learning styles.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, and sleep studies, demonstrating advanced skills including ECMO support when needed.
- Ensure patient safety by providing developmentally appropriate care while complying with quality and regulatory standards.
- Seek continuous learning opportunities and handle multiple duties with effective time management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Licenses and certifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT, Basic Cardiovascular Life Support.
- No prior experience required; however, the ability to independently apply clinical expertise is essential.
Additional Information:
- Full-time position with day shifts and an optional weekend schedule.
- Opportunity to pick up additional shifts at base pay.
- Includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
