Role: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures, including ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance.
Responsibilities: Perform respiratory treatments, interpret diagnostic data, assess patients physically and review medical records, operate and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment, and ensure infection control and safety standards. Utilize critical thinking to make appropriate clinical decisions and improve patient satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NRP and PALS certification within one year of hire
- Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and registered by the NBRC
- Minimum of six months respiratory care experience
