Role Overview:
Performs respiratory therapy procedures for patients with diverse needs and physical conditions.
Ensures patient safety and comfort while administering treatments and maintaining equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions to determine appropriate respiratory interventions.
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation.
- Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient progress.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program.
- Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the relevant state.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain respiratory equipment.
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and protocols.
- Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid respiratory therapy license from the state.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
