Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care within a skilled nursing facility, focusing on long-term support and short-term rehabilitation for diverse patient populations with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs.


Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, establish and modify functional goals, supervise therapy staff, document progress accurately, and ensure patient safety and rights. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with patients and families. Assist in emergency procedures and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current NBCOT certification (renewal optional) and valid state licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
  • CPR certification (obtainable during orientation)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and body mechanics skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance policies

Key Duties:

  • Follow and adapt occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Assess patient needs and modify goals accordingly
  • Oversee therapy assistants and students
  • Ensure timely documentation and accurate use of therapy software
  • Contribute to a positive patient experience and uphold safety standards
  • Maintain professional relationships and adhere to company policies
