Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Overview: The Occupational Therapist provides direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy for patients in skilled nursing facilities, supporting both long-term care and short-term rehabilitation needs. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at improving functional outcomes and quality of life.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and modify patient treatment goals based on individual needs.
  • Supervise and evaluate care provided by OT Assistants, aides, and students.
  • Document progress accurately and utilize therapy software effectively.
  • Engage with patients, families, and support staff to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and maintain professional relationships.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and legal regulations governing post-acute care.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
  • Current licensure and registration in the applicable state; NBCOT certification preferred.
  • CPR certification required or obtained during orientation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
  • Strong decision-making, body mechanics, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to professional standards.
