Role: Registered Nurse – Inpatient & Outpatient Wound & Ostomy
Responsibilities include: Developing and evaluating care plans, assessing patient health data, communicating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, providing education tailored to cultural and learning needs, supporting professional development, offering psychological support, assisting with technical procedures, participating in quality improvement and research, monitoring wound/ostomy care effectiveness, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), active RN license in Illinois, ACLS, BLS, and CPR certifications. Preferred experience in ICU, ER, Radiology, or Wound/Ostomy, with certifications such as CWON or CWCN.
Skills: Strong clinical assessment, communication, patient education, teamwork, and technical skills. Ability to collaborate and support continuous learning is essential.
Key duties: Deliver evidence-based, compassionate wound/ostomy care, coordinate patient treatment, document interventions, and support patient self-management. Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to a positive, professional environment.
