Registered Nurse – Surgical Intensive Care Unit – Full-Time Nights

Role: Provides professional nursing care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care and improve patient experiences.

Responsibilities: Uses nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver direct and indirect patient care, supervise team members, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff. Creates a safe, therapeutic environment and ensures accurate documentation. Promotes professional growth, teamwork, and adherence to hospital standards.

Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing school; current Texas RN license; Basic Life Support certification; minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency. Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and standards is essential. Strong communication, relationship-building, and performance accountability skills are required.

Additional: Emphasizes compassionate, patient-focused care, safety, and continuous improvement. Must handle confidential information and adapt to age-specific care needs. Physical demands include standing, moving, lifting, and handling hazardous materials, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and skin irritants. Works primarily indoors in a hospital setting, maintaining safety and quality standards.
