Role: Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) in a 130-bed facility providing long-term care and short-term sub-acute services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, oversee, and supervise unit activities and staff assignments.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise aligned with nursing standards.
- Identify and respond promptly to patient needs, monitor vital signs, and document treatments and responses.
- Administer medications and treatments as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and medical staff.
- Lead emergency responses and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Perform RN assessments post-incident or when resident conditions change.
- Maintain accurate reports, staffing sheets, and census records.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current RN license in New York with good standing.
- Experience with geriatric, rehabilitation, or Alzheimer’s patients preferred.
- Supervisory experience is desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, flexible, and collaborative.
- Patience and genuine interest in resident well-being.
- COVID-19 vaccination encouraged but not mandatory.
