Overview of the Nursing Role

The position involves providing patient care across multiple specialty units within a Med Surg Service Line, caring for patients before and after medical or surgical procedures. Nurses are cross-trained across various specialties to build a comprehensive understanding of different patient conditions, comorbidities, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations

Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards

Participate in ongoing training and cross-training to enhance skills

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate of an approved nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN)

Current RN license in the state or eligible for compact licensure

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification or completion within probationary period

ACLS and BLS certifications, obtained within 90 days of hire
