Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Bariatric – Acute Care

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in a clinical setting supported by evidence-based practice and organizational models. They uphold the nursing scope of practice, ethics, and organizational policies while advocating for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based methods, ensuring individualized and culturally sensitive care.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making, fostering a relationship-based care approach.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care, promoting teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and inclusive communication methods.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and uphold safety standards and organizational policies.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional growth and a healthy work environment.
  • Participate in protocol development, resource management, and data collection to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development, competencies, and adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environments and respond decisively to emergencies.
  • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required; BLS Instructor and Provisional BLS preferred.

Additional Requirements: Proficiency in technology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
