Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Bariatric – Acute Care

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They practice within a supportive environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional practice models, and organizational values. Their responsibilities include performing the nursing process, delivering relationship-based care tailored to diverse populations, and partnering with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide culturally competent, relationship-based care that respects patient individuality.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
  • Coordinate safe, quality care and ensure thorough documentation in compliance with policies.
  • Foster teamwork, participate in performance improvement, and support shared governance initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, mentorship, and evidence-based research activities.
  • Contribute to protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Current RN licensure (single or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Less than one year of clinical experience or completion of accredited nursing education required.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and commitment to quality improvement.
