Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in a clinical environment supported by evidence-based practices and organizational models. They uphold professional standards, ensuring individualized care that considers cultural diversity and patient goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the Nursing Process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
- Deliver relationship-based care, partnering with patients and families through effective communication and education.
- Coordinate safe, quality care via interdisciplinary collaboration, timely documentation, and fostering a respectful environment.
- Engage in professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Promote evidence-based practice, research, and adherence to organizational policies and safety standards.
- Proactively plan patient care across the continuum, develop protocols, and optimize resource use.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in clinical technology
Licenses & Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (single state and multi-state compact)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and BLS Instructor certifications
