Registered Nurse (RN) – Perioperative Care

Role Overview: The RN provides nursing care in a specialized unit, adhering to professional standards and the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
Recognizes when assistance is needed and utilizes appropriate resources, balancing dependent and interdependent decision-making.
Focuses on expanding knowledge and skills within their specialty, delivering care based on American Nurses Association standards, and aligning with unit and health system initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care to patients in assigned areas
  • Recognize and seek support when necessary
  • Maintain a professional practice focused on quality, patient satisfaction, and cost-efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members and support organizational goals

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher
  • Valid Texas RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience in PACU, Pre-Op, or Endoscopy
  • Proficient computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience in Pre-Op, ER, Infusion Therapy, or Ambulatory Surgery Center
