Role: Provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and respond to patient condition changes.
Responsibilities: Performs comprehensive assessments, manages pain, develops and revises care plans, administers medications accurately, and documents care and responses promptly. Demonstrates flexibility, critical thinking, and sound judgment in prioritizing and delegating tasks. Educates patients and families, promotes safe practices, and assists with procedures such as airway management and peri-anesthesia interventions. Ensures age-appropriate care by understanding growth and development principles.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds a current Connecticut RN license, and maintains Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications. Critical care experience is preferred.
