Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care. They utilize evidence-based practices, perform comprehensive assessments, and develop individualized care plans while collaborating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
- Deliver culturally sensitive, relationship-based care tailored to patient-specific needs.
- Partner with patients and significant others through effective communication and education.
- Ensure documentation of care is timely, accurate, and promotes safety and quality outcomes.
- Coordinate care across the continuum, supporting performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional development and workforce sustainability.
- Promote evidence-based practice, participate in research activities, and support organizational policies and standards.
- Plan resource utilization efficiently and develop protocols to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
- Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required upon hire.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in technology and basic computer skills.
- Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced environments with excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
