This role is for a RN Resident participating in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support newly licensed nurses (less than 6 months experience) in their transition to professional practice.
Responsibilities include providing patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with an interprofessional team, ensuring safety, quality, and cultural competence.
Core duties involve performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while fostering teamwork, collaboration, and supporting performance improvement initiatives.
RN Residents are expected to complete training modules, serve as preceptors, and uphold standards outlined by professional and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications include a diploma or degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), current RN licensure (multi-state compact preferred), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
