Role: RN Resident responsible for providing patient care, completing a 12-month Nurse Residency Program, and supporting a smooth transition into professional practice for new graduates with less than 6 months of experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
- Delivering patient- and family-centered care tailored to diverse populations, fostering engagement and partnership with families.
- Ensuring safe, high-quality care through effective documentation and interdisciplinary communication.
- Participating in performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and promoting evidence-based practice.
- Supporting resource management, developing protocols, and contributing to best practice outcomes.
- Completing orientation phases, including system, core, specialty onboarding, and monthly Nurse Residency Program sessions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Current RN license (multi-state license preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Less than 1 year of RN experience required.
- Strong teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and professional development skills.
