The RN Resident role is designed for newly licensed nurses with less than six months of experience, participating in a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program (NRP).
Responsibilities include:
Providing safe, patient-centered nursing care aligned with evidence-based standards, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Collaborating within interprofessional teams to ensure high-quality, individualized care that respects cultural diversity and involves families as care partners.
Documenting care accurately and promoting respectful, inclusive clinical environments.
Supporting performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance to enhance patient outcomes.
Serving as a preceptor or mentor to foster a competent and future-ready nursing workforce.
Upholding organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, including accreditation standards like TJC.
Participating in protocol development, resource management, and clinical research to optimize care delivery.
Qualifications include:
Diploma from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Current nursing licensure and commitment to ongoing professional development.
