Role Overview: Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing patient assessments, developing and updating individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and family.
- Delivering direct patient care within the scope of practice, delegating tasks appropriately, and monitoring care quality.
- Ensuring patient safety by adhering to safety protocols and standards, and utilizing performance indicators for quality improvement.
- Educating patients and families, assessing learning needs, and facilitating effective communication.
- Documenting accurately, advocating for patients, and participating in performance improvement activities.
- Maintaining professional licensure, ongoing education, and compliance with regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum of one year registered nurse experience or equivalent through residency programs or LPN experience.
- Current RN licensure recognized by the NCSBN Compact or equivalent in the practicing state.
Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates clinical competency, effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
