Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Role Overview: This position is for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and life-sustaining therapies. The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including intensivists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to provide evidence-based care during critical moments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Coordinate care with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and document accurately using electronic health records.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and supervise support staff.
  • Support a culture of safety, quality improvement, and professional excellence.

  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Active, unrestricted NYS RN license.
  • Valid BLS certification; additional unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, Stroke) as required.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to recognize emergencies, perform basic calculations, and understand healthcare quality measures.
