Role Overview
The Float Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care across 65+ inpatient units in a major academic medical center. This versatile role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Nurses educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medications, while collaborating with interprofessional teams to develop individualized care plans. The position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently in diverse clinical settings.
Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Medical-Surgical experience (preferred)
- ICU/Critical Care experience (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree (required)
