Registered Nurse (RN) – Crisis Services Unit

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide patient care in a fast-paced outpatient Crisis Center, supporting intake, safety procedures, and patient flow. Collaborating with ED providers, the RN manages initial treatment, stabilization, and medication orders, ensuring effective triage and patient safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice outlined in the Nurse Practice Act
  • Assist with patient assessments, plans of care, and ongoing evaluations to achieve desired outcomes
  • Delegate responsibilities and serve as a team leader in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary staff
  • Support safety protocols, including contraband searches and body checks
  • Work closely with emergency providers to manage patient needs in real-time

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduation from an accredited RN program and current NY RN license
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; commitment to obtaining within five years if not already held
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills
  • Ability to recognize and respond to patient care problems and emergencies
