Registered Nurse – Rapid Response

Role Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool, provides comprehensive nursing care across various Medical Surgical units.
Responsibilities include:
– Performing patient assessments, documenting findings, and reassessing throughout hospitalization.
– Developing and evaluating individualized care plans incorporating evidence-based practices.
– Administering medications, managing IV fluids, and coordinating referrals and consultations.
– Ensuring patient safety with restraint and fall prevention, and managing pain and abuse assessments.
– Communicating effectively with patients, families, and team members, and providing education and discharge planning.
– Documenting care accurately, recognizing changes in patient condition, and implementing appropriate interventions.
– Demonstrating accountability, adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and professionalism.
– Participating in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and collaborative team efforts.
– Providing age-appropriate care and ensuring service excellence in a respectful, compassionate manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Valid RN license in applicable states with BLS certification.
– Preferred 2 years of critical care experience.
– Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
– Ability to adapt to changing demands and maintain professional standards.
– Physical ability to perform patient transfers and prolonged standing.
– Commitment to safety, infection control, and high-quality patient-centered care.
