Role Overview:
The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care. They demonstrate awareness of various clinical situations, manage long-term goals, and develop contingency plans. The Nurse delegates tasks to care providers to effectively manage patient care and maintains adherence to professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their practice level.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, or caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
Additional Details:
Work hours are from 7AM to 7PM, with a per diem, as-needed schedule.
