Registered Nurse – PRN

Role Overview:

The Registered Nurse (PRN) provides safe, age-appropriate patient care in the Emergency Department, serving over 60,000 patients annually. They act as a resource for patients and families, assessing patient status and implementing clinical interventions with strong organizational and leadership skills. The role involves caring for patients with cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, orthopedic, or trauma-related conditions, including minor illnesses in a rapid care area.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and modify symptoms through clinical interventions.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Formal knowledge equivalent to an Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred from CCNE-accredited schools.
  • Less than 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License.
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification.
